AtWork ("we", "us", or "our") is a smart attendance tracking application designed to help businesses, teams, and individuals manage employee check-in/check-out, work shifts, payroll calculations, and attendance reports. We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

💡 AtWork stores your attendance data on our secure cloud servers for synchronization. We never sell your personal data to third parties.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device model, operating system version, unique device identifiers
- Usage Data: App interaction patterns, feature usage statistics, crash reports
- Authentication Tokens: Secure tokens from Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In
2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Bank account numbers or credit card numbers
- Continuous background location tracking (GPS is only used at check-in/out moment)
- Call logs, SMS, or browsing history
- Biometric data (fingerprints, face scans)
📍 GPS location is collected ONLY at the moment of check-in/check-out. We do NOT continuously track your location in the background.
3. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected information to:
- Provide and maintain core attendance tracking features (GPS check-in, WiFi check-in, QR Code check-in)
- Manage employee groups, roles, and permissions
- Calculate work hours, overtime, and generate payroll reports
- Send push notifications for shift reminders and attendance alerts
- Sync your attendance data across devices via secure cloud storage
- Generate attendance reports and Excel exports
- Improve app performance through crash analytics
- Respond to your support requests
🔐 All payroll calculations are performed on our secure servers. We do not share your salary or financial data with any third parties.
4. Data Storage & Retention
Your attendance data is stored on our secure cloud servers (MongoDB) with encrypted transmission. Employee and group data is synchronized in real-time to ensure up-to-date records.
- Cloud Storage: Attendance records are retained as long as your account and group are active. Deleted accounts are permanently removed within 30 days.
- Location Data: GPS coordinates captured at check-in are stored as part of the attendance record and retained for the duration of the group's subscription.
- Export Data: Excel reports generated by users are temporary and stored only during the download session.

We implement industry-standard measures to protect your data:
- Encryption in Transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers uses TLS/SSL encryption.
- Secure Authentication: We use OAuth 2.0 via Google and Apple for secure sign-in. We never store your Google or Apple password.
- Access Control: Group owners can only access data of their own groups. Employees can only view their own attendance records.
- Server Security: Our servers are protected with firewalls, access controls, and regular security audits.
While we strive to protect your personal information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to keep your device secure and use strong authentication methods.
7. Your Rights & Choices
You have full control over your data:
- Access & Export: View all your attendance data within the app. Export reports to Excel at any time.
- Edit: Modify attendance records, employee information, and group settings.
- Leave Group: You can leave any attendance group at any time.
- Delete Account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data (Settings → Delete Account).
- Notification Control: Enable or disable shift reminders and attendance alerts independently.
- Location Permissions: You can revoke GPS permissions at any time through your device's settings.
8. Children's Privacy
AtWork is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete the information.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new Privacy Policy within the app and updating the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
